DiaSeal is a closed needle-free valve with a silicone stem inside. The valve closes the catheter between therapies when the extracorporeal circuit is not connected. With the connection of a male Luer cone, the valve opens a straight fluid path to allow sufficient flow for extracorporeal therapies. Extracorporeal circuits can be connected directly to DiaSeal.
DiaSeal provides an antimicrobial barrier, is designed to reduce blood/air contact and reduces the amount of catheter manipulation. DiaSeal remains in place during and between therapies for up to 7 days. It is suitable for multiple treatments, e.g. sampling of blood, extracorporeal treatments. No caps are necessary to close the catheter valves.
Due to its smooth surface, DiaSeal simplifies disinfection.
DiaSeal is intended to prevent needlestick injuries.
A nutritionally complete, high energy (2.0 kcal/ml) sip feed with fibre and reduced potassium content, gluten-free, strictly low in lactose. For the dietary management of disease related malnutrition, for patients with renal insufficiency requiring dialysis.
100 ml contain 1.7 g fibre, 21 g carbohydrates, 7 g protein, 9.6 g fat and all essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
If nutritional support is indicated the product can be used for example for the dietary management of patients with chronic renal failure at risk of, or present protein energy wasting on maintenance haemodialysis or CAPD. Contains fibre which helps to maintain normal bowel function.
Dosage
Dosage according to patient’s demand, for supplemental nutrition: 1 - 3 bottles per day; for complete nutrition: 4 - 5 bottles per day.

Braun provides holiday dialysis for Dialog+ home hemodialysis patients in B.Braun Renal Care Centers, incl. popular travel destinations such as Spain, France, Croatia and Australia.
Today, kidney diseases are well manageable thanks to the available treatment options. However, end-stage renal failure remains associated with some life-changing restrictions. Patients usually need to travel to their renal care center three times a week. Home hemodialysis offers patients the opportunity to perform dialysis treatments at home, avoiding the need to travel.
