When you visit our website, our web servers save each access temporarily to a log file. The following information is captured and processed until automated deletion:

Braun Avitum AG collects only those personal data that are necessary in technical terms in order to display the website and enable the use thereof (establishment of a connection), for system security and stability, for the technical administration of the network structure and to optimize the website. The legal basis for this is the legitimate interest of B. Braun Avitum AG (Article 6 para. 1lit. f GDPR as described above). You may object to this data processing. Insofar as you object to the use of this data, we hereby inform you that our services may only be usable to limited degree.
4. Purpose and lawfulness of data processing
The application was designed to offer you the opportunity to explore B. Braun products and services on a virtual exhibition booth. The focus of the website is on the transfer of information. In addition, you can contact B. Braun employees via a live chat or fill out a contact request form. Furthermore, you can register in the Dialog Expert area and gain access to scientific content. Therefore you can request a general password by submitting an e-mail through the application to B. Braun Avitum with you names and E-Mail address. It is also possible for you to leave a virtual greeting on the interactive wall. In case, personal data is collected, this is always on a voluntary basis.
When using our live chat or contact form, you can add your name, e-mail and country so that we can discuss and answer your requests with our relevant country contacts and product managers. Your data will only be used and, if necessary, forwarded within the B. Braun Group or towards external distributors for these purposes and, where appropriate, to our country contacts worldwide.
Your personal data collected when using the live chat, contact form, interactive wall or registering (by sending an request to B. Braun Avitum with your names an E-Mail address) will be processed on the basis of your voluntary consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
5. Term of storage
Your data is stored by B. Braun Avitum AG only as long as it is required for certain purposes. Consequently, your data is erased if and when:
- the relevant legal basis for the processing of your data no longer exists,
- the purpose of processing of your data no longer exists,
- you withdraw your consent to the processing of your data,
- a legal obligation makes it necessary to erase them, or
- you have objected to the processing of your personal data,
unless storage periods stipulated by law apply.
This does not apply to data whose erasure would involve disproportionate effort. In cases like these, B. Braun is deemed to have a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 para.1lit f GDPR in storing your data.
Your data within the chat will be stored for 6 months and will be deleted after this time.
6. Forwarding of data to third parties and storage location
Depending on your request, it might be necessary to forward your request to one of our worldwide subsidiaries or external distributors that are located outside the European Union. The data protection existing in so-called third countries is not comparable with the German or European standards, therefore appropriate data protection cannot be guaranteed continuously. Nevertheless, in order to guarantee the security of your data as far as possible, B. Braun Avitum AG takes necessary protective measures. Your data is therefore only forwarded according to the principle of purpose limitation and data economy so that only the absolutely essential information that is provided by you is forwarded.
We also use service providers for the hosting of the website. Hosting of the website takes place in the European Union. The service provider has entered into an agreement with B. Braun Avitum AG according to the applicable data protection law (processing on behalf of a controller) and may only use the personal data according to our instructions.

The website of B. Braun Avitum AG may contain links to third-party websites over whose content B. Braun Avitum AG has no influence. After you click a link, you leave the sphere of responsibility of B. Braun Avitum AG. Processing of data thereafter no longer takes place within the sphere of influence of B. Braun Avitum AG.

We have taken extensive precautions to protect the security of your data. Braun, where they are saved and processed.
This website uses an SSL encryption for reasons of security and for the protection of the transmission of confidential contents, such as for example the inquiries that you send us as the website operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If the SSL encryption is activated the data, which you transmit to us, cannot be read by third parties. Despite these protective measures, however, we cannot completely rule out unlawful processing by third parties.
10. Your rights as a data subject
You always have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) to your personal data, the origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, free of charge, as well as a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or to restriction of processing of these data (Art. 18 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to obtain the personal data relating to you that you have provided to a responsible party, in a structured, common and machine-readable format (right to data portability Art. 20 GDPR).
Objection to the processing of your data based on legitimate interests
You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time if this is done by B. Braun Avitum AG based on a legitimate interest (pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As a result, the processing of your data will be halted unless B. Braun Avitum AG can show that there are legal provisions concerning this or that it has reasons to continue processing the data based on legitimate interests. This is the case, for example, if data is still required in order to be able to assert legal claims where applicable.
